Opening:
Board members present: Maggie McGuire, President; Joel Peterson, Vice
President; Dana Greenlee, Secretary/Treasurer
I. Old Business
1. Budget Approval
Board gave provisional approval of 2004 budget based on the pending
receipt of 2003 year end expenditures and balance. Final budget approval
is expected February 8 at the next Board meeting at which time the final
2003 budget will be reviewed.
2. Annual Assessments
The Board determined not to increase or decrease the annual HOA dues for
the community.
3. CLICK Cable
Joel will follow up with Click Networks regarding the process for cable
line installation.
II. New Business
1. Catch Basin Cleaning
Board discussed schedule for biennial catch basin inspection and
cleaning by Econovac. Service was not performed in 2003. We will contact
Econovac in April to schedule an inspection and cleaning, if necessary.
2. Street Lights
The Board discussed a streetlight on 58th St. cul-de-sac that was
flickering. There are 9 street lights in Vintage, including one at the
corner of Bridgeport and 59th St. Action: Dana will contact utility to
check on cost and procedure to replace bulb and to verify which street
lights are on sensors, which are on timers and which method is better or
more economical.
3. Website Poll
Board decided on a topic for an informal poll of Vintage. The opt-in
poll is at the VintageUP.com website: “How do you rate living at
Vintage?” Answers are on a scale of 1 – 10. Anyone can view results of
the poll at the website.
4. Community Affairs Chair
The Board is seeking a new Community Affairs Chair for 2004. Discussed
option of having a coordinator facilitate a lead person for each event
so as to spread the time commitment to multiple individuals. Action:
Joel will discuss options 2003 Chair.
5. Architectural Control Committee Flier
The Board asked ACC Chair Jerry Simpson to prepare and distribute a
reminder flier to the community by end of January on the following
topics: Holiday light removals by 2/1, avoid car parking on sidewalks,
removing basketball hoops from public access ways and the procedure for
outside home improvement projects with the ACC, including an new online
application submission form at
vintageup.com/acc.htm.
An additional flier will be prepared and distributed in April-May
regarding lawn fertilization, cutting and watering, tree and shrub
maintenance, weeds in sidewalk & driveway expansion joints, cars parking
on sidewalks and pet ‘deposits’ on personal property.
6. Next Board Meeting
The next Board of Directors meeting will be held on February 8, 2004 at
2:00 p.m. at the Greenlee’s home.
