Households Represented:
Simpson, McGuire, Cole, Kelly, Lees, Samuelson, Westover, Greenlee, Casella, MacMillan,
Walters, Palmer, Semler
I. Call to Order and Welcome:
Kevin Semler introduced our newest family in the neighborhood, George and Helen Samuelson.
II. Old Business: Kevin Semler
1. We have a preliminary website set up for Vintage homeowners. The site address is vintageup.com. Rob and Dana Greenlee have
put it together and are looking for our suggestions on what we would like to see on the
site. A few ideas are posting the neighborhood rooster with an access code that only
residents will know, also posting our quarterly newsletter and community CC&Rs.
We can set up an address for the site that homeowners can e-mail the board members
directly. Rob and Dana would like you to call or e-mail them with suggestions, articles or
pictures that you would like to see on the web.
E-mail to robg@webtalkguys.com or dana@webtalkguys.com.
2. Lianna brought a printout for us to look at regarding procedures we will follow for
delinquent homeowner assessments. Starting with next years assessments we will begin to
charge a late fee. A copy of this printout will be attached to these minutes.
III. New Business: Kevin Semler & Maggie McGuire
1. The nominations for the new board members were as follows:
President - Steve Cole
Vice President - Betty Simpson
Sec/Treas - Dana Greenlee
The vote was unanimous to accept all the nominations. We also have new chairs for our
committees:
ACC Chairperson - Jerry Simpson, members Greg McGuire and Scott Kelly.
Community Affairs Co- Chairpersons - Wendy Wheeler and Maria Casella.
Grounds Maintenance Committee - Tom Palmer
2. Maggie McGuire has made contact with a board member from the Westgate housing
development below us. They are very eager to meet with us and discuss shared issues but
they are new and need a little more time to develop as a homeowners association.
3. Several of our street lights are not working properly. We have contacted Potelco about
repairing the lights. This should cost approximately $100.00 per hour and several lights
can be fixed in one hour.
4. The storm drains are scheduled to be cleaned out soon. The question was raised on
whether this is really needed each year. Lianna suggested we find out the quantity that
was removed last year and base our decision on that. She also said it was best to be on
the safe side and have it done each year so that we have documentation in the event that
the City of University Place takes over our streets.
5. We discussed the CC&R that deals with dog barking. Our options are sending a
letter, visiting the homeowner, calling the human society, or assessing fines for the
barking.
IV. Financial Report: Lianna Collinge

V. Committee Reports: Greg McGuire & Sandi Semler
1. Greg updated us on the status of the homes that are past the two year time limit for
rear yard completion. All but one have completed there yards or submitted a time frame for
completion.
2. Sandi Semler spoke if the success of the Fourth of July party and the National Night
Out Barbecue. She also reminded us of the upcoming cookie exchange in December. More
information will be forthcoming.
VI. Open Forum
1. Dave MacMillan shared a Children at Play sign he purchased. It is a hard plastic
triangular sign that has velcro on it, which allows it to attach around a sign or street
light. He suggested we purchase more of these to place around the neighborhood. The
company is - Same Day Sign, 10120 S.W. Nimbus Ave. Suite C-3, Portland Oregon 97223. The
phone # is 888-322-7446. The cost per sign is $13.75.
2. Scott Kelly informed us that our local fire department is selling T-shirts with the
proceeds going to the families of the fallen New York firefighters. The shirts are $10.00
and Scott will be posting order forms on our doors.
VII. Next Meeting:
1. The next general membership meeting will be held in December, date, time, place and
agenda to be announced.
