Bridgeport Eyesore ~ I’ve contacted UP Council regarding the ugly garbage mess on the west embankment of Bridgeport Way (opposite our development). I’m hearing that this property has just reverted back to the City and their plan is to clean this up each April. I’m not too delighted with this response time, and will be pursuing them for earlier action.
The Path ~ The city has no record of the footpath on the south side of our development, between Bridgeport and 67th. Therefore they have no plans for any clean-up work there. If you’re still keen on organizing a Saturday morning work brigade, feel free to go for it or contact Tom Palmer.
Click!, Cable and Vintage ~ You may have noticed in the recent edition of the UP Newsletter that Click! is coming to UP, to provide Cable TV and broadband internet service. This should provide competition to Comcast (formerly AT&T) and hopefully lower prices.
The article indicated that if residents lived on private streets (as we do) then their homeowner associations should contact Click! to grant installation permission – I assume to perform the necessary installations on/under our streets, rather than take the cable to each house. I have called Click for more information. It seems the article is slightly premature. They are coming to our area sometime this year, but as yet have no clear schedule. I’ve requested them to contact me as/when they learn more, I’ll also call them on a monthly basis for status.
