About Vintage at University Place

A Little Background

The main road into VintageThe Vintage at University Place is a development conceptualized and built by Quadrant Corporation.

It began as a wooded acreage above an old rock quarry. Initially, four home styles were created, all named after wines: the Mondavi, the Inglenook, the St. Michelle and the one-story Kenwood. Its first home was occupied in March 1997.View of Fred Meyers roof from a Vintage home

As the wild preserve of the quarry began to be developed in 1997, the community rallied together to offer a voice in how the city allowed the adjoining property to be developed.  Many suggestions from the Vintage community were incorporated into the final use - a newly designed Fred Meyer - including low monument signs, building and roof color and increased green space and trees.

Another adjoining property began to develop in 1998 and now is the gated community formerly called The Quarry.
